Fall 2007 Workshop Schedule

Catamount Academic Tutoring (CAT) Center offers an array of interactive workshops designed to make you a successful student. All workshops will be held in the CAT Center, Hunter Library. Preregistration is NOT necessary, but seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Student Technology Assistance Center (STAC)
The Student Technology Assistance Center offers technology workshops scheduled throughout the semester. These workshops are small-group, student-only workshops that focus on skills students need to complete assignments for class. Workshops are offered for any software that students would have to use academically at WCU and include topics such as:
  • How to Design and Create World Wide Web Pages
  • How to Design and Create Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations
  • Working with Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets
  • Working with Microsoft Access Databases
  • Word Processing with Microsoft Word
  • How to Navigate and Use WebCat (WCU's course management system)

Workshops are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early to guarantee a seat! A listing of the most current workshop offerings can be found at http://www.wcu.edu/techassist/schedule.html.
